yes i know where the expression "whole 9 yards" came from. in medieval england king vernon (the 1st) decreed that vendors selling goods inside he castle's jurisdiction were to be allotted blocks that were 9 yards long.
when travelling noblemen would visit the castle area they could afford to buy everything that a vendor was selling, thus, "i will take the whole 9 yards" ended up meaning "everything included"
