They call it ‘characters’ rather than letters. There’s no such thing as ‘Chinese alphabet’. Each word is made up of a series of strokes.

@Simplastic it’s true as @Tae7 says, there is no “letters” in Chinese, there is only characters, if you would like to specify you *could* say that strokes are the letters, but obviously they are not.

@Tae7 ya know there is a chinese alphabet for "Pín yīn" and 哈哈哈哈哈 means hehehe or hahahaha
