Hi there,
some days ago you needed somewhere around 2520-2520 Glicko to enter the rapid Top 10.
No the limit is "only" 2484.
Was there any change to the regulations?
In the F.A.Q. it is said:
"How do ranks and leaderboards work?
In order to get on the rating leaderboards, you must:
1. have played at least 30 rated games in a given rating,
2. have played a rated game within the last week for this rating,
3. be in the top 10 in this rating.
The 2nd requirement is so that players who no longer use their accounts stop populating leaderboards."
But there have to be an additional condition:
For example:
1. Have played 4421 rapid games
2. Have played 8 rapid games the day before yesterday
3. My actual rating is 2504. So I should be at Nr. 8 at the moment.
But I am not ranked in the rating list. Is there a connection to the rating deviation? I have 75,34 in Bullet, 60,22 in Blitz, 60,02 in Classical but some bigger in rapid: 80,67.
Am I right that there a two ways to decrease that deviation:
- play regularly
- play equal strong opponents
?
The second point is in rapid much more difficult for me than, for example, in Blitz. With a 2284 Blitz-rating I am ranked 2704, so there are many players in my strengh (and higher) around.
To be better as 100% of the rapid players you have be rated 2225 points. I am 279 points ahead of this margin, so it is not that easy to play similar rated opponents.
By the way: It is not easyier to get points from lower rated opponents. Gaints are (for reasons) very small and 1800-players aren´ t weak at all.
Thanks for your information.
