Otb game played yesterday with an abrupt finish

Period was 75‘+30s. I had the White pieces against say 2000. I think I had close to nothing after ...d5-d4, yet ...d4-d3 simplified matters instantly...

25.Qg4 is a fantastic find! And such a simple move. Considering that the game up till then seemed even and not too eventful, it can be hard for me to even look for a move like that myself. I bet your opponent was kicking themselves after retrospectively seeing how bad 20...d3 and 23...Bd3 were! But yes that position before those moves looks like a rough one to cook up a plan for.
@Sarg0n there could be ideas of protecting the h3 pawn, and getting away from back rank checks later.
Yeah, that’s the way it went smoothly. :D

By the way, 20.Kh2 was one of the two inaccuracies.
Sometimes when I play higher-rated players than myself and they make a simple king move at some point like Kh2 here, I'll ask why and they usually say it's just that they didn't yet have any other move ideas that they wanted to commit to, and king moves like that are very noncommittal.
As a learning player of the 2... e6 sicilian I dislike three black moves: 7... Nge7, 9... Qb6 and a missing Bg4. Does black feel uncomfortable in IQP-positions? Then d6 is preferable to d5.

Qg4! is a nice finish. Congrats!
