Cat seperation anxiety

My friend has a cat and it has speration anxiety and its only a kitten :(
He's suffering cause he needs to be with the cat everyday otherwise it mews

yes , in dogs , unsure about cats but likely they get it too as they also are pack (litter) animals and require the attention of others to feel at ease , cats seem aloof to me but i bet cat owners know different

It's like we have to import our neuroses to the rest of the animal kingdom.

I knew a girl whose cat would throw up in a random pair of her shoes if she stayed out overnight. The cat always had plenty of food and water.

She even tried having her neighbor come in and feed the cat at her regular time, or having a friend spend the night since her apartment was much closer to school, but it never made a difference.

Owner away = puke in the shoes. Anxious or vindictive? Neurotic or petty? Both seem plausible to me, but the cat was always affectionate when Leslie was home when the cat expected her to be.
