Chess variant where you can respond to a check with a check

Hm. The slower attack is not punished. And the defending side has one move extra to come up with a perpetual check.
A king could be taken, even without counter check, after a missed check.
But, please, spill what you have in mind, if you would. What are the strong points of this?

Exactly everything you listed, in addition to the fact that it gives black a bit more breathing room.

Okay, yes. That happens sometimes. I thought it was clear from my OP that I'm also referring to checks which don't block your opponent's checks.
No need for a variant. You can even respond to a check with checkmate!

In terms of this variant, I think we need fewer, not more draws. There are a lot of positions where whoever has the move wins with checkmate, and chess would be even more drawish if we made those positions draws.

Now, if you want an exciting chess variant, some ideas:

* Embassy chess
* Grand chess

Wow! I have not done this before in a game once thank you for explaining

Also in practice only super high-level chess has a problem with drawishness and it's not like Anish Giri is gonna come along and play every variant
Responding to check with a check in normal games is not that common but I like this idea of a variant. Seems a go!
