My first consideration is Rf3 followed by Re3, but then again black can avoid the threats with Nd8 and Bc4 and I don't see how white can take advantage of the poor piece placement. Not sure, to be honest. What would you have played? Cheers!
Nxa6 and Rfb1; the open file is the main concern in this position. Although I don't like that I would need to post my bishop passively on d3 to prevent the knight from reaching a good outpost. With no good pawn levers and a standoff on the open file, I predict that this game is perfectly even.
So what would (did) the sorcerer‘s apprentice Bronstein play? ;)
