That's not true at all. Show me a game where that occurred.
@ShiningDrongo
Ok fine, I forgot about blockaded positions. But determining if there is no possible way to checkmate relies on human intuition, not computational power. As proven by Rybka vs Nakamura, computer chess engines do not yet have intuition, at least not the engines available on lichess.
How do I import a game while including the name of players, rating, time control etc?
@NNWill
Recently, in the subject "Lichess Feedback/why isnt this game a draw?" it has been discussed
a position even more trivial than that presented by @ShiningDrongo, namely, white: Ka8,
black: Kc6, Qb8, Nf4. Here we do not need any intuition, it is enough to state that white
must play Kxb8 which immeddiately leads to a draw. However, this position was also
judged as lost on time for white. A program checking the possibility of winning for both
sides in fixed position already exists.
Why can’t we see how many followers we have? Can we at least have the option to see how many we have ourselves?
