I would never ever have thought about 1 Kc6. I have been working in vain on 1 Nf3, 1 Ng7+, 1 Nxh4, 1 Nxc4, 1 Kxc4
It is amazing how deep some seemingly simple positions are.
Side-note: the white King shouldn't go to the edge file/rank of the board because there is danger lurking that he is forced into the corner and the knights have to move. (-+)
