Hi, my name is farhad. I got 900 points at blitz In one year. I want to share my opinions with you. First of all, don't say" I want to rise my rating" because as long as you don't get better you don't see rating increase. Second of all, solve chess puzzles, not the hard ones. I repeat don't solve the ones you have to spend 10 minutes to see the answer clearly. First do a puzzle storm. See in a time pressure at what level you fail. Then stick to that. Let me tell you something. It's more effective than you think. I have never ever ever been a 1900 blitz player. Last year I was getting crushed by 1000 at chess.com. why don't you have to solve the hard puzzles? Well it's because at blitz you got to stick to easy tactics. You only can see 3 moves ahead. If I made a really difficult blunder in a blitz match, and my opponent spends his time on my mistake and punishs my blunder but loses 90 seconds of his time, I feel that's silly. Why? That's because it's a 3 minutes. 90 seconds loss in a blitz match is a clear sign of resignation. good luck please read my comment carefully.
And one more thing, I get really disappointed when I see people who have never done any sort of chess puzzles and didn't see their effects and call to someone like me or higher rated than me" I can't become like you". Stop this
One last thing. Solve chess puzzles. Playing chess will not make you stronger that fast. Find the most forcing moves and learn how to do in one second.

I am not going to try to rise my rating until I get 50 score on puzzle storm. Make it your measurement.

One truly last thing: edit button exists so you don't have to make a long chain of posts.
Oh comeon, don't tell us, that you count the 2-day-rating-deviation-jump from 1000 to 1600 in blitz and bullet as a proof for your "yearly 900 rating gain" *facepalm*
But hey, i like statistics, too. ;)

I gained 900+ points in only 3 months! I started off at 1500, and now I'm 2400+. Ask me anything.
