The secret to being good at chess

After playing for about 30 years and having my ups and downs I can reveal the secret to being good at chess...
GOOD TIME MANAGEMENT
Using your time and not moving impulsively...always analyzing any situation calmly and methodically using the time given to you on the clock....
TIME IS A WEAPON...USE IT!
My glory days are long past me now but I wish I had realized this 20 years ago...
Hm, I am not sure, if that is all, aren`t there more ideas?
Like to play with older players, if you have TIME?

:))
I think the secret being good at chess is the creativity and attention. Without creativity we cant build up good positions and without attention we can't win games.
So all this time I should've been buying books on time management...I see!
THE ULTIMATE SECRET TO CHESS___ CHANGE UR RATING TO 3000 USING INSPECT ELEMENT AND INSTANTLY U IMPROVED (technically)
I don't think there's a secret. Play, analyze, watch people play, practice...
The list continues and it's always the same that's on it. I just get the feeling from time to time that people aren't into this, everybody want's to hear a shortcut, a magical "secret" as you call it, when there is none.
Hard work is the only thing that will ever get you somewhere - likewise it is with chess.
