no resign = ban

You cannot ban someone if he is playing just by chess rules.

I fully understand that it is bad behavior of not resigning, especially in tournaments , if you place with much higher rated opponent and he has a lot of time left. Or in Simuli...

However, as a chess coach of kids I cannot agree with ban. We always teach kids to fight till the end. That is the first lesson - fight till the end... And even checkmating with a queen is a real journey for beginners.
You can't ban someone if their taking their time.
I started playing more classical to think more and since I play more blitz and bullet I play moves faster but I wouldn't want to get instantly banned if my time ran out since I was thinking about what moves should I do and what tactic I would be able to do.
Gib verlorene Spiele auf (lasse die Uhr nicht herunterlaufen).

Give up lost games (do not run down the clock).

Very bad advise from the lichess admins!
Sometimes I am still thinking, trying to find a way out of a jam, and then wham, my clock is down. But if it is a totally losing situation a good sport will resign. Hyper charged ego keeps many from resigning.
@jugji on chess.com, every game is rated, almost nobody plays casual games. People tend to take chess rating too seriously there, and prefer to wait for 5 minutes, to see if your opponent loses connection or something, rather than resigning...

Here on Lichess, you can play casual games, and find a lot of players who will eventually resign if they are in a lost position...

I'm a guy that likes to fight until the end, even if my opponent is fooling me, and I find a small chance to stalemate, I will try to draw the game.
@celinofj 90 % of my games are 1 min bullet. Strange to get banned on bullet because you let run the time.

Behinderte Systeme, kommen immer in der Nähe von Menschen vor!
Disabled systems, always occur near people!
#18 In your last game, you were in a completely lost position and decided to make your opponent wait 40 seconds until your clock fell instead of resigning.

Bad sportsmanship has consequences.
I tend to use my time too. I've received ONE warning ever for this in over 3500 games.

It's not that you get banned for "not resigning." It's when you blunder, your opponent has a won position, and rather than resigning you let the clock go to zero without ever making another move, just to get back at your opponent for beating you. And to get a ban for it or even a temporary suspension of a few minutes, the practice has to be habitual.
