@Spartako Why the scare quotes on "genetic differences"? Women have a whole different chromosome from men. They have different organs. We're a sexually dimorphic species. To suggest that women's and men's brains are the same is absurd. And there are decades of psychological research to back that up. It is politiclly unpopular to do such research, or even to talk about such ideas today, but that does not imply that there isn't a consensus in the field that there are brain differences.
However! To say that women's brains are less suited to, e.g., playing chess is similarly absurd. It may be true. It may not. It may even be that women's minds are better suited to chess than men's. The research simply has not been done, but there are clear *social* factors that lead to less female representation in the game. In fact, these factors are fundamentally the same ones that make it politically impossible to do the research.
