Cheat mark

@nikzal Totally agree. I was penniless and living in a bus in my thirties now I am an attorney, have been married for 20 years and have four children, all of whom have had "teacheable moments", as have I...
I have had an instance of cheating where I did so in real life, and when the person I cheated against found out that I did by my own admission(I had no other option but to tell) he not only forgave, he said I could cheat if I wanted, and helped me out a bit further. It felt crazy. Few possible cases to be considered:
- The person didn't put as much value to the thing in which he was cheated on, and would probably keep contact with me only in trust-less systems
- Maybe the person applied the little cheat and learned himself and improved so maybe he doesn't mind me going that path and once I get strong I don't cheat
-Maybe he thought it was too pathetic for him to get involved in.

Either case, I became much more self aware of what I was doing and instead of "cheating" with real players, I "cheat" with machines, and play real players honestly and don't mind losing games anymore.

I think you should let your son use the engine. Maybe you should play with him, and when you do, he gets to use engine when he doesn't feel confident, and he also learns in the process. You are the most valuable gift he has. Give him your best, and good luck.
#1 Maybe your son should have a "BOT" account...seems to be the best of both worlds. :]
@chris-tian welcome to the forum! Everyone posting good advice. Just want to say good luck raising that girl into a WGM! :)
Don’t cheat. Never ever.

Restricting playing possibilities just postpones the problem. Your kid is defending himself/herself by means of excuses and you don’t find the right words? Playing tournaments without cheating is the answer.

Either you teach your kid FairPlay over all or the career is over before it had started.

i have a question ?
some of my games and between them ( bullet games ) like this game :

with no mistakes
0 Inaccuracies
0 Mistakes
0 Blunders
and i am not cheating ..
what lichess says here please
how can lichess knows i am not cheating ?
If it happens consistently, over the course of multiple games, and multiple people reports you, you are most likely cheating. Lichess then does some further investigation (I think), to be 100% sure the person they mark down is actually a cheater.
