There is a young man currently in the news who works as Donald Trump's personal assistant. He is currently facing prison time for allegedly doing a favor for Trump. Federal prosecutors want to cut a deal with him but he won't cooperate with them - he would rather remain loyal to Trump. What are the chances that he is a chess player? If he is then I wonder how strong he is.

in politics its all about media power and conections, connections and one more time connections. and money. Money power.
Trump is in a network. Huge lobby groups. and they rule the United States. AKA Wall street. Davos....
I wonder if all those connections and money will keep this young man out of prison.
Because it seems that the judiciary has shown no hesitation in giving hard time to Trump loyalists.
retaining classified documents is not a crime if these documents are classified...
I do not know why everyone hates Trump. He worked like every other president and to be honest, do we expect the senate not to cheat in everything? To be honest, everyone in politics is just as bad as each other. Their wealth is greater than their salary.
I think anyone who feels that a single leader i.e. Trump, Biden deserves absolute loyalty is asking for disappointment.

this is basically a self-fulfilling prophecy. it's this exact attitude that constantly helps bad people get into power. "everyone in politics is equally bad anyway, so i'll vote for the extreme right or left-wing party without any real program to show that i would like to protest against the current situation of basically everything". it's an extremely childish attitude, and it is obviously wrong if you only think for a second about it.
if you are living in a democracy, you have to ask yourself which is the best among all the bad options. you have to actually read up on the options as well, this is your responsibility. if you cannot bring yourself to vote for any of the options, you have to run yourself.

It has two meanings.
1: We should put other politicians on trial and treat them like every street corner robber.
2: We should make sure something like that does not happen again.
Both are hard to achieve. We humans have never created a self running constitution. Some came close, but systematic trouble had always appeared.
It is hard, but not impossible. If not for eternity, than for ourselves we need to strive for equality.
When comparing extremist parties with the 'middle' ones, radical parties gain far fewer votes. Thus this assumption is wrong.
Radicals have the need to convince people their idea is correct. Whilst 'centrists' can rely on 'They know how to change nothing', radicals need to speak to the people. Some do it better than others, but in general, every radical party has an agenda able to run a country.
The real answer is he's made his political party more than just a list of policies that people would like to see enacted. To MAGAs, being a republican is part of their identity. You can't have a rational debate with these types of people, no matter the facts you throw at them, they ultimately won't care because they won't let facts get in the way of something that they've defined themselves to be.
