lol and people tell me i am a big looser when i tell +70% people are cheating (Game 5min elo <1400).

Today, i reported 4 players; i recorded them monitor each time, chessbot for each game.
Since 2024, i reported +500 players, i have the record of them monitor (just get them IP) for each one. I have to only find the way for put record in public but i didn't find leag way (because record aren't legal) without get problem.

I did with chess.com but they can't opposite because they would put it public and as like them priority it"s the reputation and marketing (before quality chess). So they told record are false... (just record with obs and convert in mkv or mp4).

This is the reality in the online chess world

But i am not agree with you told above. You speak about people who cheat but want get a good level in chess. The major people who cheat are juste noob who want win, they play at chess as like i play with friend. It's very very easy to use a help tool for play without nobody can see it (nobody = tools of website).
Why do some people make post about cheating?
Don't they know what others think they might do?
It is so easy for anybody to use an engine. Where is the challenge ? It is not a challenge to use theses tools and not a challenge to play a competitive game of chess. Where is the glory ? We are playing and winning anonymously on the internet. They are just an other bot like Maia.

There are productive ways to deal with the issue, and there are counter-productive ways to deal with the issue.

And when people come to these forums to spotlight this particular issue, much less in order to exaggerate the problem, it is completely counter-productive.

It's possible that a few people have read these blogs and have now realized that...

a) If the majority of the chess world ever believed that the majority of people cheated, that it would be the end of online chess.

b) That they are cheating because of unconscious psychological damage.

...and will now decide to stop.

This is possible.

However, it would probably require a love for chess, and/or a love for mental health, in order to activate the group of synapses that would result in someone choosing to play legitimately.

And the question then becomes one of cost-benefit...to which the benefit is probably negligible compared to the cost.

It's a very good thing that everyone understands that you're being sarcastic!

Unfortunately I am not. I really experienced what I stated. In fact my 6 most recent losses were all labelled afterwards as cheaters. Therefore I decided to stop playing rapid games online. Continuing would've been ridiculous.

I don't understand what is funny about cheating.

Anyway I will write on my blog a detailed report about my experiences.

Yeah that'd be a great idea!
It wouldn't definitely help a ton!
It's completely obvious how objective intelligence, and people with bullet scores of 2500, go hand in hand!
I'm not at all surprised that you have a bullet rating of over 2500!
Well done!

Thank you for your brilliant and productive contribution to the chess world!
We're all so much better with you here to help us all out so much!

Stay lovely!

I am 48 years old. I am a fidemaster since 2004 and crossed 2300 fide several times. I obtained on lichess a rapidrating of 2575 and a blitzrating of 2680 with another account. I write a popular chessblog since 2012 with more than 600 articles and more than 1 million visits. I am an engineer specialized in commercial analysis working for one of the largest international companies.
On my profile you have my real name and link to my blog so you can easily check. I hope this info can convince you that I am serious about my experiences with cheating online.

I was shocked about your statement. Then I looked at your account to see if i could find some rapid games where opponent's acct was closed. I was again surprised. I found not a single rapid game played by your account. I see only bullet (all the way back to 2015) and more recently Chess960. So i guess you are referring to another account (either here or on another site). I'm sorry to say the burden of proof for your statement still lies with you.
