coach for beginner

Hi all

I've been playing chess properly for the last four weeks or so.

I'm thinking of getting one of the cheaper coaches for $10 an hour as my rating is still pretty low and I guess i dont need the most extreme/expensive coach as this stage.

Is it worth doing or am i better off just playing games and continue watching chess training videos? I don't think i'd invest more than $15 an hour until i get better.

Thanks all
@bruce_wayne1 At your level, it is very easy to improve on your own. I would not recommend a coach unless you feel you are not improving.
I agree with @MrAverage ,
I don't think you need a coach at this point. There's a lot you can improve on that doesn't need someone else to help you with. One thing I have for you is that just put out your pieces and then defend your opponent's threats. Once you do that, then you can use YouTube videos. Then just practice and practice. Look over your games and the certain moves you went wrong on. Once you feel like you can't improve no matter how hard you try (I'm not even at this point yet), then you could consider getting a coach.

This is just my viewpoint on this topic.
save the ten bucks, play/study identify targets, play gambits have fun
Agree with everyone else - it's unlikely that you need a coach at your level. Learn opening principles (development, centre, king safety), learn basic tactical elements and then play at time controls that let you think all that stuff through properly. If you want to, you can also go back and analyse your losses with the engine and the opening database and try to understand what went wrong if it's not already obvious.
John Bartholomew's videos on YouTube on "chess fundamentals" and "climbing the rating ladder" will get you as far as me. I was a 800 when I started on lichess.
Free coaching: stop playing 3+0 superblitz. Play rapid and classical only and then analyse your lost games.
First crawl, then walk, then run, then sprint, not the other way around.
