@BayorMiller You are thinking of move typing, this thread is referring to the keyboard extension which is a different thing.

Keyboard extension is not an official feature on lichess, you need to install it into your browser.

@fatbu i actually thought it must have been something different, but i'm yet to understand how the KB extension works

I personally think that use of KB is an unfair advantage as someone who plays on phone I've been accused of KB use. However playing against it is always an unfair advantage for me.

You hover the cursor above the destination square and then press the corresponding key on your keyboard. For example, if you want to move a pawn from e2 to e4, you put your cursor on e4 and then press the key that moves pawns forwards. Same thing applies to the other pieces, there is a key for each of them.

I don't know if this would make it more fair or silence all the complaints, but a solution I can see is if you can change the plugin so that you have to press the key every time you move, not just hold it down.

From the video I dont even think keyboard makes you faster. To me it seems like cheating in online chess.
