Emojis not allowed

Why aren't we allowed to post emojis in Lichess Forums?
Yes, we can tag a message with a emoji, but why aren't we allowed to add it in our message?
I kindly request Lichess to add that feature too. Anyway Lichess has provided us with free chess and so many other features, I am very grateful to Lichess for making this app, this is just a humble recommendation from my side to improve it. Thank you!

I think they used to allow emojis but removed it because of spam.

Emojis pose a threat to HTML hacking with letters and numbers and emojis not in UTF-8, generally I believe @thibault thought it would be best to not have emojis, as they are also not needed and can distract from the game.

Emojis were removed because of abuse of the feature ofttimes with whole pages filled with pointless emojis
