K and b vs. k and b, can't claim a draw??

I was playing a blitz game and me and my opponent both had only one bishop and king. The system wouldn't let me claim a draw. It was only after I let my opponent take my last piece that it recognized a drawn position. Is this normal or a glitz??
I can think of a possible mate in this case when the bishops are opposite colored
Why would you when you can still technically mate your opponent, the system automatically draws the game when there is not enough material to mate but it's not the case when there are opposite colored bishops and kings only.
Because if mate is even possible, it is not a draw. OK? So it does not imagine PERFECT play. It does not decide whether something is a draw by looking at theoretically perfect play and moves. It just sees if there is insufficient mating material, and if mate is possible in a legal sequence of moves. In your case I imagine that with non-perfect play one could win: Bishop checks, king takes away squares on one side and enemy bishop blocks enemy king's escape route/square.
K+b vs K+b is definitely a draw even in greatest patzer league, you really have to help your opponent in order to lose that one... so yeah legally you can get mated, but you have to really want it, otherwise you put your king on the square where no checks can appear, and move bishop around the board until you both get bored, you can basically move your bishop anywhere you like, because opponent can't take it as it will make insufficient material to mate = draw lol...

I know. It's impossible to mate even with total beginners. They'll just randomly move their bishop around to safe squares and you can NEVER mate them. But Stockfish doesn't care. Players can agree to a draw at that point.
If an infinite number of monkeys play or a dice is rolled there will be mates.
you can only have 50 moves without a capture before the game ends in a draw... this is the situation that rule was made to fix, I would imagine.
