Hi, I'm new here!

So I just created my account a few days ago, and I don't really know much about Lichess or how to navigate it. I have a few general questions. Feel free to answer any in particular.

(1) How do the stabilized ratings here compare to those on other sites, like chess.com, or chess24, etc.? I haven't played that many games here, but I just want a general idea.

(2) Am I only allowed to do one computer analysis at a time? I notice that when I accidentally submitted a game for comp. analysis, and tried to reload a different game, it wouldn't do the analysis until a while later, when I tried again.

(3) Is there a way for me to enable multiple premoves at a time? Currently, I see I can only make one premove at a time.

(4) Does Lichess automatically check each of my games after I play them for engine use/cheating? That sounds like a massive use of resources though. Chess.com makes you report them yourself, which has ups and downs.

(5) How friendly is the community here, in your opinion, compared to that of other chess sites?

(6) Are there many strong/titled players visiting/replying to the forum posts? That would be very nice. On chess.com you only have a few titled players answering chess questions.
heyos :o welcome

1 - just keep playing to find out :o in general the numbers are a bit higher compared to chess.com
2 - yes
3 - no
4 - in general no, though there are a few interesting autodetection mechanisms in place and we're adding more
5 - the most toxic users tend to get muted so you don't see much abuse
6 - not really. i guess strong players tend to not like forums, which i understand
You can report a cheater from their profile, click the triangle with an exclamation mark inside it.

Lichess has great interface for playing and the mobile app is very good indeed.

So I recommend this site mostly for playing.

There are a few cool regulars on the forums though.

The staff run this place as a beloved hobby so they take sometimes critique and suggestions personally and can be emotional in their comments (not all of them), but they do a great job in keeping the software running and the cheaters get dealt with fast, as a player I'm very grateful for these.

But all in all a great place to play chess, and generally I don't see much trash talk (and blocking is easy) or cheaters (reporting them is fast and easy).
hey kid! just play ... we all came here to play! i also have accounts on other sites. why? to play!
<opinion on> chess.com, will on occasion provide phony "real players" in blitz games. I haven't seen anything but total honesty here. <opinion off>
