1. E4 e5 Ba6

How would 1. E4 e5 2. Ba6 work as a chess opening move? How about 1. d4 d5 Bh6? I see a bunch of those games in the lichess databases.
I'd say... horribly. Nothing would stop Black from taking the offending bishop, and it wouldn't take long before you start to feel the loss of a whole piece.
I'm assuming this is a bullet opening where White is hoping Black is premoving? Even still it's a bit weird since there isn't really an obvious material gain if Black ignores it. Could just be a mouse slip?
2. Ba6 or 2. Bh6 are premoves, played before black made his first move. Makes sense when the opponent premoves b6+Bb7 or g6+Bg7. Makes also sense, when the time control is very short and black wastes some time for the next move.

Makes no sense in other time controls than bullet.
that's why i pre-move only forced moves and don't gamble.
Its quite easy. ... 2.Ba6 Nxa6 White resigns :)
