Casual Rating System for Puzzles

Hello everyone! I hope y'all are doing well! So, I was doing puzzles using the easiest mode and saw that whenever I lost a puzzle, my rating would go down a ton, like 50 points or something like that, and getting it back was pretty hard unless I did puzzles in the normal mode. I wanted to know whether there will be a system later on where you can choose to switch to casual ratings during your puzzles instead of rated ones, I think that option is there and I might have not seen it and if anyone knows where it is, please post it here so that I can use it. If it isn't there yet, then I ask the lichess.org developers to try and take it into account to implement it.

Thanks,

Totally agree. And also i'd like to have a free range of difficulty to choose from, cause the minimum i can select is -600 and maximum +600 than my level. I'd like to be free to go beyond that, for example -800 rated puzzles. Thx Lichess

If it helps, there was a previous discussion on this exact topic (specifically, lichess.org/forum/lichess-feedback/why-not-have-an-option-for-casualunrated-puzzle-ing) in which one user mentioned that adding "?casual" to the end of a puzzle URL would cause the resultant puzzle to not affect one's puzzle rating.

Not using casual at the end of a puzzle URL causes the resultant puzzle to not affect one's puzzle rating.

Try it yourself:

This only appears to apply when you are working on a specific puzzle. When I advanced to the next puzzle (I clicked on the little blue rectangle), it came up https://lichess.org/training/mix, and adding ?casual didn't seem to do anything.

No worries though - my puzzle rating goes up and down like a demented jack-in-the-box.

Oh I see I'll try that then.

Yeah I think it hasn't been changed specifically by the developers on lichess, We'd have to use ?casual at the end every time we go to a new puzzle which is a hassle.

Try it yourself:

I tried it and it went back to normal like @Ledaig10 said in #5, so I think it only works for one puzzle every time you type ?casual. But thanks for the idea, I'll try and use it, but it might become a hassle.
