Exciting tournament so far, with a lot of fight.. In the second round, Carlsen admitted he "tried to be smart in the opening. That didn't work." adding later that "Aronian is in top form. You can notice that he sees many options.' Their game was very interesting to me because sometimes I play English opening and not always easy to find a plan against these setup for black.
Magnus Carlsen - Levon Aronian: ½ : ½

Anand seemed to have a very comfortable advantage against Nakamura in a Berlin Defence but allowed Nakamura to launch a very dangerous king-side attack with the piece sacrifice. It's really quite hard to watch Anand playing like this.
Viswanathan Anand - Hikaru Nakamura: 0 : 1

Fabiano Caruana caught Boris Gelfand completely by surprise with the Leningrad Dutch and Gelfand's attempt to keep things under control by simplification had completely the opposite effect.
Boris Gelfand - Fabiano Caruana: ½:½
http://en.lichess.org/analyse/rwnccxg0 (in 49. analysis shows a victory for the white but I think in the version given by Stockfish white can not make progress)
Enjoy)

You're right, the evaluation by Stockfish is way off; 24... Re4+ would've been interesting, but that Gelfand - Caruana endgame would always end in a draw in a normal game between GMs. I think the Carlsen - Aronian game was the most interesting one, but it quickly became much less interesting after Bb4.
Hold steady Naka and we can have Carlsen soup for supper tonight. LOL.
OHHHHH Nooooo! The engines are saying Naka blew it. Carlsen may have Naka stew instead
Yes, it's a very exciting game (the game between Caruana and Anand was also interesting). Qf1 with Rxh7 would've been amazing.
Great games and great commentary!
I love chess, but chess is really a brutal game!

It seems that today's win is actually a new world record of Magnus Carlsen which is about 2900! He scored 7/8 points so far with the performance of at least about 3000!
Kasparov, Fischer, Tal, Petrosyan, Alekhine, Botvinnik... were magician!!! Magnus is quantum computer)
