Gothic chess is played on a 10x8 board and there are two extra pieces:
- the chancellor (moving like the rook or the knight)
- the archbishop (moving like the knight or the bishop).

i think it is a very funny variant and I would be very happy if it was added on lichess!!!
Didn't like the variant so much. One of the reason maybe Bishops have an x-ray vision on Rooks in the beginning position. So, moving d or g pawns may create an annoying pressure on Knight pawns. It will create a bit disadvantage to the black.

It is currently very unlikely that lichess will add new variants. Even more unlikely if the variant requires any board other than 8x8.
