What is the fastest way you can think of to checkmate by only moving the king?

Got the f-pawn start down to 18 ply with two mechanisms to open the h-file.

Wow, nice! So with d or e pawn 14 plies and with f pawn 18 plies.

I condensed the f-pawn approach elegantly to 8 moves / 16 plies.

Good job! I had a feeling it could be condensed, but was unable to find a shorter way myself.

I think @Illion #21 was the first person here to understand the original challenge. The winner of the game has to be the side that is only moving their king.

I misunderstood at first but #14 and #19 should be impeccable though. ;)
