Using external assistance in games

If you want to cheat like that you don't even need a phone, you can just open another browser tab. And using engines is not allowed even in correspondence.
I would suggest reconsideiring your assumptions. She is a teenager. The number of teenagers who get pregnant every year even though dad is 100% certain his daughter has never even kissed a boy is truly mind boggling.
This is hard to believe. Because lichess is so filled with cheats that them targeting her not just once, but several times means it must have been pretty egregious. I've seen people blunder a queen in 5 moves and go on to play engine perfect endgames with no action, so it's very likely she did cheat if it somehow got the people here off their ass to actually ban them for cheating.
Is it worth going on and simply telling you that you're completely wrong with your stubborn and off-reality attitude? (this is especially in response to the 70+ post thread)

Thanks for the information. I want to rule out one account is logged in 2 or more devices in games. She often studies on her mobile phone hence she did nothing but leaving it on the table while she played the gigafinal online. I would like see how many more people would rule it out.

I mean, I know nothing about her case but Sargon's posts already showed you can't say she's guaranteed innocent just because she's your beloved child. And quitting your support in case she's guilty is too drastic as well. Some cheaters still love chess, they just didn't love their opponents enough...

As a person, she has never lied. I understand it is common for some children to lie or cheat. But, she is nothing like those kids at all. In chess, she is a hard working learner. She has been gradually improving through her hard work. But she didn't play a lot games (not many games in Wales anyway), her FIDE rating is just 1300s and WLS rating is about 1500s. However, she played against few very top girls from England and Scotland (in British Championship and Glorney Cup). Although she only draw them once in British Championship, she isn't too far behind them based on the otb games she played againt them. If she had to use external assistance to play online, she wouldn't stand a chance to compete against the top girls from England and Scotland.

Sorry but your kid is lying. I lied all the time as a smart assed 13 year old. Having a number attached to your name that can be grown with cheating can be hard for a kid. Give her your love and respect whether shes guilty or not. Good luck.

If she's honest IRL this still doesn't exclude the temptation of cheating. Shall I quote the story directly?

"I know a club player dedicated to chess for over 50 years. Aged at least 70, without a noteworthy OTB rating, but always fair and pleasant to play against. Due to covid he came into touch with online chess for the first time. Just two weeks later he had a nice 2200 rating at Lichess and was banned. When I addressed this, he said he just couldn't resist the temptation."

Way too naive. Even titled players are cheating online, maybe even more often than amateurs (the chesscom scandals are pretty prominent).

Nice story. But, what are so tempted for a 13 years old?
