Was Ody in the wrong? Who is the real good guy? Eurylochus accidentally killed 528 men, but Ody killed the other on purpose. Btw, I love them both.

i don't think any of them were wrong or right they were all just trying to get back and doing what it takes to survive. after all ruthlessness is mercy upon ourselves

I like Eurylochus the best because he was just trying to protect the rest of the crew (perimedes, x-eye guy from gigi, etc) Odysseus was only really looking 4 himself

For himself yes, but for his son and wife as well. And one could argue for his people back at Ithaca, no one else could lead them as well.

Eurylochus was just the most realistic and human character; odysseus is harder to relate to because of his status in pop culture as a legendary hero (no pun intended). Eurylochus is just some guy who wants to see his kingdom again, and also, he was the brother-in-law of odysseus (eury married Ctimene, the sister of ody)

Odysseus was a d-bag. He caused Telemonian Ajax to have a psychotic break and commit harakiri because he rigged an election, all to get some douchebag kid a suit of armor.

Depends on what version of the Odyssey we are talking about. EPIC for example is literally Ody getting royally f'ed over by everyone around him. But other versions like Miller's Circe portray him as a deeply flawed person who wasn't above abusing his crew.

Dunno dude. This whole Troy business bored me from the start.

I would say that Odysseus is far from being a hero in the way we expect today : he didn't protect his men and, worse, he made them risk their lives for him (the Sirens). While his wife waited faithfully for him, Odysseus had time to have two or three children with Callipso and lived with Circe.
Eurylochus is closer to the crew and shares their demands and concerns (food, rest, and returning home). The problem is that he isn't as much of a warrior as Odysseus, and he knows that Athena isn't watching over him, so he don't understand where Odysseus is leading them or if the path is right.
