I just lost everything I invested in stocks

You lost money in a simulator or you lost money in The Simulation, aka The Matrix?

If I were to answer this question, the simulation guards might catch onto me.

Simulations are one thing, plunking down real money is where the rubber meets the road.

In a nutshell, buy value, not price. Don't invest in what you can't understand. (This is Buffett's "circle of competence".) Don't put all your eggs in one basket (that is, diversify). Invest with the proper time horizon.

Buffett has said many times that if you aren't prepared for your investments to drop 50 percent in price, you shouldn't be in them. Buffett's annual reports of his Berkshire Hathaway company are usually fascinating reads.

sry, well deserved:

you knew this could happen so it
wasn't "invested' but carelessly riskily 'gambled'.

'investing' means having a bankroll management
and setting a stop loss.

so there you crouch now picking the rice between the pavement

cf. john lee hooker - it serves you right to suffer

:-p

you weren't seriously hoping on consolation, were you.

I have only purchased real estate and certificates of deposit.

I have not lost at all.

It all went down. IT ALL WENT DOWN. I can't even cut even. I know it's just a simulation but still this is MASSIVELY disappointing that my stocks are this LOW and they are continuing to TAPER.

Hey I am using the STARTrading method and learning about trading.
I am super sorry that has happened to you. But tell me do you KNOW Trading like the back of your hand's?
If not you need to get a mentor/assistance if possible.
You can not just blindly put money into a stock and hope for the best and pray it will work out, thats not the method will NOT work.
Please before you lose anymore money, take some time. to learn how to do stock's and day trading.

I am on a DEMO account on a site. And I am learning how to put it in and take it out at the right time.

Since it did go Down you might have a chance for it to go back up and you could make a profit.
I don't know what system your using.,

It's silly to be in stocks with the current admin - only the inner circle of yesmen are privy to what sort of destabilizing knee jerk policy he'll pass next to manipulate the stock market.

That is unless all your holdings are in oil and weapons

Buffett advice for most folks saving for retirement:
Buy low-expense stock index funds (for example, S&P 500 index funds, which include stocks from the 500 biggest American companies). These funds will outperform the majority of professionally managed funds.

Start ASAP. Invest often. Hold the funds long-term.
