Is it weird I lose a lot but I am learning and every single time I lose I give well wishes to my opponent. But 90 percent of the time I get zero feedback?

I think he's referring to how in OTB chess you often review the game with your opponent after it concludes. Sadly, this is not normally the case for the reasons @PuzzleDingske stated in #2.

No weird.
There are many at Lichess who don't respond in chat or have disabled their chat.
Also, I like your sportsmanship.
Keep trying to learn and don't get upset with losses. With every loss, one learns something.

I totally agree.

on mobile i dont see the chat (its below the board somewhere and i have to scroll).

many players play in Zen mode, which hides the chat.

Honestly I tend to have a "one and done" habit. I have *rarely*, like less than 1/200, played the same opponent more than once. That being said I usually respond back if the player has comments on positions, etc.

maybe they just dont speak english lol
