no.

likely we chess players are too critical on things, which makes us not like most people.

not stereotyping, just an answer for your question.

I played chess in high school, but I also ran cross country and track. So I had friends who were athletes, the kind of people who say, "isn't that like checkers?" Didn't have much trouble getting along with them. Nor with the musicians nor the actors/drama crowd nor a host of others with whom I shared some interest or other. (Which isn't to say I got along with everyone, but that's another set of stories) The key, I believe, is shared interests and willingness/curiosity enough to listen to what others are interested in. It's a two way street.

Im not sure if you really do hate other kids but if you hate someone or a group, they can feel that you hate them.Maybe thats why they give you attitude. But maybe you dont hate other kids, you just dont get along or click with them. And you get attitude for being different. Most people dont like people they cant understand, that dont fit in to their ways.

there are like 2 or 3 FIDE rated players in my school (I'm not :( ) and the other girls at least are seriously trash (I have this one friend who did not know what the Scandinavian is, so I'm like "hey, instead of e5, you can play d5 too!" and then for a WHOLE tournament she played the Scandi without knowing the Scandi)
