Game info is sideways when "hide chat" ?

this happens when I choose "hide chat" under play layout, the game info is sideways. Is this intended?

Yes, it is :) It's gaining space and looking better than just a wide box with nothing underneath. There is another option, from the Preferences, where you hide the entire left side.
