The holiday scam season is beginning

So my wife just got a msg that her monthly Pay Pal account is in arrears and this is an attempt by a collection agency to collect a debt. She has no such account.
If you happen to get this msg it's a scam so just delete it. Do not respond at all and do not tap the opt-out option.

A public service announcement from Dukedog :)

We get scam insurance calls, texts, and letters all the time.

The real scam begins and ends with buying gifts in general. Any act in the Christmas Season that isn't devoted to worshiping Christ or doing public service is a SCAM!

I used to get the ol' "we're trying to reach you about your vehicle's extended warranty" calls.

This was in the late 2010s. Like, 2017ish maybe.

My car was a 1994 Honda Accord I purchased from my uncle for like, $1,000 in 2013. I always found it a lil' hilarious when I'd get those. Why? Because '90s Hondas are basically indestructible. I used to joke that the apocalypse could happen and my car would start right up the next day just fine even though the only humans left would probably be Keith Richards and Betty White (RIP Betty White)
