I can't help feeling sad when I think of her. She was a cute, alert little dog, who died alone to help humans investigate the possibility of space travel.
Reportedly, she died of hyperthermia hours into the flight, during her spacecraft's fourth orbit.
Man, every time a dog dies prematurely, the world becomes a sadder place.
Mankind should not eat or otherwise sacrifice our canine friends. And mankind includes American presidents, I might add! Tails should continue to wag. Dogs are good people.

We need to differentiate between politics in a trivial sense vs more of realistic sense. Perhaps the difference is between "historiticity" vs "historeality." Trump is pretty terrible human being I think from any theologian's perspective. However, he's made me a ton of money in the stock market and his policies reflect the people who voted for him. I see practically all of America's politicians as somewhat the 'same person' just catering to different self-interested perspectives and desires. Trump is relevant because he influences public policy which in turn the rest of us have to deal with. So, I'm not in favor or in favor of Trump...I simply state what appears to be reality.

I could never vote for a politician who has eaten dog. Indeed, I consider eating dog a disqualification for office. Dogs are for petting and hiking, not munching.
I fear that there might actually be some in this forum who have voted for a dog eater! I won't call them out specifically -- they'll know who they are.
I'll note, by the way, that I don't believe President Trump has ever -- or would ever -- eat dog. Yet another way in which he surpasses some of his predecessors. (Whom I won't mention out of kindness, I suppose).
And before anybody starts to mention cows and call me a hypocrite, let me ask: can you get a cow to play catch? Have you seen a watch-cow? Will a cow fetch a newspaper -- for those who still know what a newspaper is?
The answer is "no" to each question. Let's not kid ourselves. And even if there WERE watch-cows, a "mooooo" would not alert us as well as barking does. That's just a fact.

Nah. Trump has a sense of humor and, already being QUITE wealthy before running for office, has not needed to manipulate the system for self-enrichment. Indeed, I dare say that Trump has LOST a ton of money because of his turn to politics, overall.
Combatting lawfare is vastly expensive -- although I don't begrudge payment being made to noble constitutional and defense lawyers -- they're some of our best people, after all!
But, even after paying tons to wonderful lawyers, President Trump is still quite amply endowed with financial resources. Don't cry for him, Argentina!
Keep in mind, too, as I noted in an earlier post, President Trump is NOT a dog-eater. That's not a coincidence. He's a good man.
Any who might have voted for a dog eater should repent, in my humble estimation. I never have. At least not knowingly.
