While LM Lance5500 , may 'only' be around 2400-2500, I've played many masters in the past thirty or so years, and he is one of the best, in my opinion here at lichess. Objectively, GM Sergei Zhigalko is a higher rated GM, but it hardly matters for a lower tier player like me, I just do my best to develop, defend, and hang on, until it is resign time. I don't know many players at this site who are willing to take on 100 players like LM Lance5500, although rarely do even 50 players join in, and wait for start time.
Large simuls like that take time to fill, and most players don't know that they can open another lichess tab, practice there, and keep an eye on the start time. The few times I ever play a couple of warm up games, those are unrated, so I can jump off or resign, and make it to the simul when the alert flashes. Usually, I just practice tactics puzzles, because I don't like to leave a live game, rated or unrated, even for a simul.
The nice thing that LM Lance5500 does is announce when he is about to start, usually about five minutes in advance, for any latecomers, so I appreciate that advanced notice, but the knight symbol in a tab for lichess will start flashing white to black, to get your attention if you are distracted, and then you have less than a minute to join in. That is one of many great features at lichess, which I made my "chess home" a few years ago.
Before that, I played at, and later worked for, Chess.com, however I much prefer lichess in many ways. Each site has their benefits of course, but lichess is member supported, which I like, and their cheat/engine detection is quite good, I've gotten messages on a few games when players cheated, and the games were awarded to me. Almost all the players here are kind and considerate, which is what makes this a great community, and one I trust.
