Lichess should punish the real person responsible for things like this

My opponent lost his rook and queen, and then let their clock run down to 2 minutes (~7 minutes wait). I had a questionable lunch so I had to rush to the toilet. It's amazing what onions can do to your bladder, you are fine one minute, then the next it's like a rocket is about to launch under your butt.

So, I think they should put in a 3 minute warning like "Are you still there?" type of thing and if the player doesn't click "Yes" then they forfeit on time. When they got down to 4 minutes I thought they would just run the clock down to zero, but intentionally waiting 7 minutes is worse than what I did. I didn't want to poop all over the floor.

The real person responsible for this is closer to home than you think. Also, I think you are getting your anatomy confused...

So you are saying we should do the same, stall for 7 minutes then make a move? And I thought poop came out of our butts. Am I mistaken?

Here is an honorable player. They lost their queen and resigned. They didn't try to weasel their way to a win. Recognize your mistakes, learn from them, and then move on.

Or look at the evaluation of the position. White had +13.7. Both the 7 minute wait and the +13.7 advantage should be enough criteria to punish the other player.

1. Please respect onions.
2. The whole point of online chess is to pass the time while pooping. You have it backwards if you leave your game to go to the toilet.
