Limiting the time for a move

Why don't we put an option to limit the time for a move. If you are playing for 30 minutes and the guy loosing take 2 minutes for each move it get to be very boring. Please give the option to limit the time for a move.
I definetly dont agree with this. Although the situation you say can be (very) annoying, you and your opponent both agreed to - in this case- a 30min game and you can both choose how to use this time. If you don't like that; a way of limiting time per move is by using increment. Say you play a 2min+15s/move timecontrol, or whatever, that way you limit the time per move.
Solution: play with increment. Instead of 30+0 play 15+15 or even 5 + 25.
how i can control myself during a competition game ! how to be patient and dont hurry for a quick win ! this competition is classic
100 + 30 sec/move
I'm trying to figure out why one would play 30 min games if attempting to avoid boredom...
There does not be an option to limit time per move. That's what the game clock is for. More parameters is not always better.
What a ridiculous thread and ridiculous suggestion.

If waiting a few minutes for an opponent's move is too boring for you, then chess is not for you. The solution here isn't to drastically alter chess, the solution is that you go and find something else to do with your precious time.

I mean, while your opponent is on the clock, you're supposed to be doing work at the board, too. If you're just playing the game like it's blitz, planning 1-2 moves ahead, and taking virtually no time for your moves - Once again: Chess is not and never will be for you.

Wow. Definitely have a lot of super, super casuals and terrible players around here.

*Then I look at the OP's rating: 1649 with a question mark. And he thinks 30+0 is "too long". Just a total, total non chess player. A 30+0 is blazing fast in a real chess game. The guy doesn't even use an increment LOL.
They both agreed, but the option isn't available. If the option was there, then you could make stupid comments.
Playing with an increment would just aggravate the situation. A delay would limit the available sit time. An increment would make it possible for the "loser" to sit even longer.
