One of the many (bad) characteristics of human nature is hatred of others.
In the 1954 film “Moby Dick” produced by John Huston, Captain Ahab’s boundless hatred of the whale that once crippled him is brilliantly portrayed. Ahab’s hatred is constantly palpable, it drives him mad. He not only wants to take revenge on this whale and kill it, no, he wants to destroy and annihilate it completely – even if it costs him his own life.
The first half of the following film clip shows this impressively.
