what is the WORST number

Personally I got BEEF with 841

Personally I got BEEF with 841

Irrational numbers kinda yank my chain.
Pi for instance
A circle definitely has a certain circumference
Though we have yet to solve for pi

And then 1/3 is a third
And not .333... indefinitely
Sq root of 2
Well the same

I'm no mathematician
But I suspect it is a matter of translation
Between one system
And another.

"Awaken N. Tesla & tell us" ... though we can ascertain he liked Prime Numbers . He also stayed at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City (basically living there for years) in rooms with certain numbers he liked

Fun fact: in bas 3, one third is just 0.1.

Chaitin's constant is the worst in my opinion.

@CoffeeBeanKiller

Thank you. You seem quite well informed. I wasn't aware of that constant ( conjecture ,maybe).
It seems to imply computation must ultimately collapse and there is a limit to numerical analysis as and such is doomed to fail.

Interesting thing abt pi. It's irrational in all bases

Irrationality is independent of the basis though :)

Anything that's worse than 0 ?

Add it to something, nothing happens.

Multiply it to something, it destroys everything.

Divide by it, and you're suddenly in error-city.

Power by it, everything is reduced to 1.

Put it into a polynomial, and you can forget about all the coefficients, except the constant.

Put it into sin(x), get nothing else.

Put it into cos(x), get a boring one.

Put it into log(x), get a nightmare.

An angle of 0º is just nothing.

Any physical unit with 0 denotes the non-existence of any imaginable thing.

Maybe we should remove the 0 altogether and at least have something.

And, by the way, since we are playing chess, who wants to be on the side of the 0 if the result is 1-0 or 0-1?

I sincerely vote for zero as the worst number before going to sleep. I mean it. Zero activi....

Yes, I believe he had an irrational liking to the number 3

Well ig 1
Is the loneliest number
Not the worst by any means

But definitely lonely
And alone...
