what do you think the universe was like before big bang?

<Comment deleted by user>
In the beginning, there was nothing.

That nothing exploded into everything.

So water comes from fire>?

It is a theory as redonkulas as saying, the universe is turtles all the way down.

However as humans we need answers to unanswerable questions and cult leaders provide those easily digestible answers.

All you can ever really know for certain is the contents of your own thoughts. The universe is between your ears.

Turtles don't explain evidence that the universe is rapidly expanding. Or that radiation signatures indicate that the universe was incredibly hot at one point. Or that the universe is almost entirely comprised of the two lightest elements known, which likely formed from a very hot, dense state that rapidly cooled and than expanded.

The Big Bang isn't definitive, but it's the best model we have that fits with what we are able to observe and prove through experiments and modeling.
Sir Abbes Georges Eduard Lemaitre in 1927 a Georgian priest was the first to extrapolate this backwards in time. He called it primitive atom or infinite density. One of the common misconception about the Big Bang theory is that everyone even in my class 10 course book and science teacher says that just a bang happened and everything came into existence. No it's not!!! Big Bang theory never explained how our universe came into existence, it explains us how our universe cooled down drastically after Big Bang. 20 years later, an alternative theory aroused i.e, steady state theory. It stated that our universe is same everywhere and the expansion we see is just an expression of formation of new matter which is pushing the old matter. Later George Gammow, found some elements which were formed just after the Big Bang. And predicted a predominantly heat signature. Again, although mistakenly, Arno Penzias and Robert Wilson at Bell laboratories, Murray hills found a annoying hiss sound that they can't eliminate turned out to be the predominant heat signature i.e, CMB or Cosmic Microwave Background radiation. For this they were awarded by Nobel prize. The Big Bang theory made such prediction while steady state theory doesn't. The term Big Bang was coined by Fred Hoyle who was a vociferous proponent of steady state theory, as a sarcastic comment!!! @AayushGhate @Capablanca_Chess1234 @chummer @FC-in-the-UK @FutureAstronomer @JASKIRATSINGH @KartikeyaSharma0504 @Sarg0n what do you think my respect readers?
@chummer
"Turtles don't explain evidence that the universe is rapidly expanding."
But it does support cyclic conformal cosmology.
