So I was scrolling on Pinterest, and I found this quote, and it really struck me because I found it to be so true:
"You say you love rain, but you use an umbrella to walk under it. You say you love the sun, but you seek shelter when it is shining. You say you love wind, but when it comes you close your windows. So that's why I'm scared when you say you love me."
-Bob Marley

Bob Marley was pretty amazing but, he also had some struggles for sure. I do totally one hand get his feeling about Babylon and all his but on the other hand, it's better just to build roots, communities and help people in small and also big ways but to make things better.
My mind went to that but yes in terms of relationships and love. He was so beloved, of the whole world for sure. And as for his personal life I'd have to look it up again but I think he was married for sure.
The actual line.. Okay I think I do understand it, what he meant by it. It's kind of like, whenever we think we love something, usually that's not necessarily based on true love and commitment, it's just a passing fancy or desire, or it's mixed in with some selfish desires. But true love, the real kind is based on total selfless devotion- and when that's backed by both parties then it's a really gorgeous kind of existence.

You fool. Don't you see? When I said, I love the rain, the sun and the wind. I mean this to the extreme.
It's because everytime they appear, you appear.
My shelter from the harsh weather. You are my umbrella, my shade and my castle wall.
Why you never stay and chill out, when things are better?
You don't always have to be a hero, sometimes it's enough to just be near. I love you, how come you don't stay, whenever more mild weather appear?

Maybe he is talking abaut love from a distance cause what u love is too much when u get too much of it.

So Bob Marley might be saying, she will only love him from a distance,

Ok <3 to really break it down, I guess he is saying, and it is more specific then to a certain person, that she doesn't love sincerely, or doesn't love deeply enough, so that he knows she will maybe change. Or he is basically saying she is fickle, and loves one thing but then its opposite. And since his heart is on the line when she tells him she loves him, he is very afraid when she says that. Even though he obviously already loves her.

maybe its the way we see the world...
just like everyone has different opinions and different perspective to see the world...
what circumstances you have grown and been in...
when ever your heart feels right to love or to be loved then you should never gave up that opportunity...
you never know where the life takes you but you have strength to take your own responsibilities and go that way you are comfortable with :)
may be he is pointing out on the difference between relationship and true love...
he didn't use extreme so i will consider moderate
so on this point, he may be pointing out your true love even in moderate circumstances
(my point of view)
there are many way poem can be viewed

Thoughts?
Marley was pretentious; great songwriter, lousy intellectual.
Peter Tosh was the better thinker. Clearer-headed, more down to earth and more articulate. And a fine musical artist in his own right.
