Songs with Sampling

Everyone has probably had the experience of hearing a new song on the radio and thinking: "Have I heard that somewhere before?" - Well, it could be a cover or a sample.

In contrast to a cover version, sampling does not repeat an entire song, but rather just takes a significant part of the music from it and processes it into a completely new song. Sampling is therefore about giving excerpts from existing music recordings, such as melodies, a new face, so to speak.

The following example should make the topic of this thread very clear to each of you.

Original:
Queen & David Bowie - Under Pressure

Sample:
Vanilla Ice - Ice Ice Baby

In the Lady Gaga's Bad Romance clip, you can hear Bach's 24th Fuga of well tempered clavier (B minor)
The themes used in the 1812 Overture are:
- prayers "Save, Lord, your people"
- Marseillaise
- folk song "At the gate, the father's gate"
- Russian anthem "God Save the Tsar"
I don't know if these can be considered samples.
But there are also sounds of bells and cannons - these are definitely samples.
Or not?
