I've noticed that totally funny posts with a "LOL" at the end get very few laughs, but a big bunch of horsies. But, post which are not at all funny without a "LOL" at the end get a big bunch of laughs. Why?

Yeah to be of not to be that is the question. Will people read the post, and just just see lol and assume someone is laughing at what they are saying and ignore it. Or will they actually read it and see if it is funny.
