70s easy. Love me some Machine Head! Turn it up to 12 and let’s rock!

Sorry bro gotta pick 2.
The 60s and 70s

I suppose the evolution of many genres in that time. The variety of music was simply amazing.
There was a time when I would have said the 90s with no hesitation whatsoever, as I was in my teens then, so listened to alot of the pop music and wasn't really exposed to anything else until much later oddly. But now I just don't know anymore, I suppose I'm starting again really music wise. :).

Well, imagine it’s 1976. Your buddy brings a brand new album called Night At The Opera. You put it on the stereo, because, well that’s what you do with vinyl. Grab a bag of chips and a cold one and park your backside on the couch. Pass the clip around a time or two and...... then Machine Head... by the the time your done Space Truckin’ you’ll be set.

I missed out on socialising like that, but it sounds like it was good times you had there, fortunately though I Atleast got to be around when Records and tapes were in the highstreet shops, "Woolworths" was my local shop that I bought my first Records and tapes. :).
The 70's but the late 60's are pretty darn good too. It's the music I grew up with, of course. I'm still "discovering" music from that era (like John Prine mentioned a few times on these boards).
2000-2010, the beginning of Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, P!NK, Beyoncé, Shakira, Daft punk, Linkin Park, Coldplay...
