Yes, true - but not the main reason. The main reason is that both Disney and the People's Republic of China want to show the movie in China - and the average Chinese person doesn't give a sh**t about woke progressive diversity rules.
If a Chinese historical movie is made - they expect to see Chinese people in it. Period. And they aren't going to be pushed around by Hollywood.
