the bot uses multi threaded Stockfish WASM, this can cause problems because not every browser and every device supports multi threaded webassembly

you need Chrome or Firefox, possibly on a laptop

the app may not work on phone or tablet, or on browsers other than Chrome and Firefox

upgrade works, because this has nothing to do with webassembly

I’ve changed the browser to Chrome now...
Can you check whether it works??

I challenged it, it immediately accepted ( hope it was not you accepting by hand ), but did not move

show a screenshot of the log if you can

the same thing happened with a user having a tablet, it the log stops at "spawning Stockfish" then it is a webassembly problem

I didn’t accept it... wonder why it didn’t play any move.

@hyperchessbotauthor when I use ezchess I get rate limited alot. does this happen to this too?

well, rate limiting can be caused by a lot of things, talking too much in the chat can be viewed as flood, but this bot apart from welcome and closing messages does not talk in the chat

I'm not aware of any other type of request that this bot makes too much of within too short a time

however for testing I added random move generation; also added an option to use lichess opening explorer book; these let you test the bot even if the engine fails on your platform; open the inspection console and report if you see any 429 ( Too many requests ) error
