How to speedrun Minecraft?

Learn from Illumina and Dream.Watch their speedruns and learn how its' done.

Look for a good seed..Possibly with a village at spawn.
Know how to route all the types of bastions..
Perfect the triangulation method of finding the stronghold..
Also do you know how to build a speed runner portal with one water bucket ?

@SlurpyJuice my fastest run (70 minutes bedrock I'm really bad) I was really lucky and got a blacksmith at spawn and a ruined portal behind it. after I got into the nether the bastion was over a pool of lava so I spent 5 minutes bridging (bridge bastion btw). after a good 10 minutes finding the fortress I killed many blazes (bad drops) and traveled another hundred blocks for a good blind travel. turns out my blind travel was really bad so I spent another 10 minutes finding the portal room. then I killed the Dragon.

so yes this is what you should do but much faster than me

I have a few other qs:

Why do you need blaze rods in speedrunning?
How do you find the nether fortress?
How do you find the end portal?

Blaze rods are necessary for making eyes of ender which lead you to the stronghold which contains the end portal..you need eyes of ender the fill the end portal..
For the fortress either go positive/postive quadrant or negative/negative quadrant..positive/negative and the negative/positive is not recommended.Look across lava pools and turn up render distance to max

@InvincibleX17 thanks, but how do you find the end portal with the eyes of ender?

you throw the ender eyes, then run 500 blocks the way it went(it may break if you do it again so don't throw it again) after running 500 blocks do it again and if it goes behind, go behind 150 blocks and throw it again until it goes down the ground
