That's 1.4 billion potential donors. Could be interesting. I don't expect it to be easy to implement though.
if you can't donate to lichess by indian rupees, it's because stripe and paypal don't accept them. if financial services like those two (who specialize in money transfers) are not able (or do not want) to have an option for indian rupees, there's little chance that implementing it would be worth it or even possible for a chess site.
edit: what i am saying is if you want to see the ability to donate indian rupees to lichess, your best bet is to ask stripe and/or paypal to implement the option.
