titled does not mean professional. There are people who are qualified players but who have a job on the side because they do not earn enough from playing chess alone. professional means that you must be able to make a living from your profession and earn enough money to be able to live. there are non-titled people who are professionals in the world of chess, and that is the difference between pro player and pro around chess (coach, event organizer, authors)
