This is my chess game: China VS Japan.
China side has a classic Chinese army from Xiangqi, and two mad warriors marked by 狂. Mad warrior moves like special rook in Manchurian Chess(where red has no cannon, no knight, and only one rook, and that only rook is special rook) plus 龍王 in Shogi. Japan side is a classic Japanese army from Shogi. Mad warriors are placed one square forward the rook.
@LostAlqhe Here's a variant that might be interesting.
Just like regular chess except for 2 conditions.
Upon completion of a move the knight becomes a bishop and likewise the bishop becomes a knight upon the completion of a move.
Could be interesting.
Eclipse Chess- Dunno if this variant already exists, but it's a concept in which pieces change from 'light' mode to 'dark' mode every 4 moves, and vice versa, creating an 'eclipse' for 4 moves.
In light mode, while the sun is shining, pieces move normally, may be some special powers for the bishop to be able to jump over friendly pieces.
After 4 moves, darkness falls and dark mode activates. In dark mode,Rooks can jump like Knights, Knights move two squares diagonally instead of L-shape, Queens lose either rook-like or bishop-like movement (choose one), and Pawns move backward diagonally and can promote to an Eclipse Queen that may teleport once per game. After each eclipse (4 moves), all pieces immediately switch form.
The game is won by checkmate as usual.
Smegi
Shogi × Smess.
The initial placing is still Shogi, but chessboard are in Smess style -- some arrows on tiles. For pieces,
Gyokushō(Ōshō), also known as King or Brain, steps 1 square in any direction, regardless the arrow on the tiles.
Hisha, or Rook/Numskull, moves any square in the direction the tile shows, or 1 square in any direction.
Ryūō, or Rook++/Numskull++, moves like Hisha but 2 in any direction.
Kakugyō, or Bishop/Numskull--, moves like hisha but without any square movement.
Ryūma, or Bishop++/Boor, moves orthogonal any square or 2 squares exactly in the arrow.
Kinshō, or Gold/Toady, moves 2(at most) squares in arrow direction.
Ginshō, or Silver/Toady--, moves 1 square in arrow direction.
Keima, or Knight/Yahoo, leaps 2 square(exactly) in arrow direction.
Kyosha, or Lance/Fuddy-duddy, like a Hisha but without any square movement and ranged 4.
Both Silver, Knight, or Lance promotes to Gold.
Fuhyō, or Pawn/Ninny, moves 1 square in arrow.
Tokin, or Pawn++++/Ninny++, like a Kinshō.
Capture King to win. Crazyhouse rule.
zerk back chess - everyone has to zerk back
@Sherlocked_Homeless , we can also make eclipse Xiangqi:
Soldier can always move as a Wazir without backward. If a soldier crossed the river, it moves as a "Drunken Bishop".
Knight can move as an orthodox Knight.
Rook can also move 1 square diagonally.
Elephant can jump over anything.
Advisor can move out from palace.
General becomes General(楚/漢) in Janggi.
